XC!!!

Ora bem... aqui vão as notícias fresquinhas (estas até são quentinhas porque por aqui continua uma "brasa do caraças"!!!).
Final Contact Check-Ride... done!!!
Depois deste obstáculo ultrapassado (ufff!!!) e de mais uns quantos voos e simuladores obrigatórios para ir de cross-country (xc), lá fui!
Terça, dia 19, foi a primeira tentativa. Arrumámos as coisas, descolámos mas era bom dia para ir... tivemos uma emergência (Rapid D). Voltámos para Laughlin, fomos vistos pelo médico e autorizados a fazer nova tentativa.
Inicialmente planeámos ir a Las Vegas... não fomos autorizados; depois planeámos ir aos estados mais próximos aqui do Texas (3 dias- 4 Estados)... tivemos a emergência e fomos autorizados/ obrigados a ficar no Texas!!! (ainda bem que descolámos na quarta, caso contrário ainda reduziam para out-and-back:).
Bom, o XC... foi "baril", fizémos:
Dia 1: Laughlin- Dallas/ Forth Worth (Alliance)- Houston (Ellington);
Dia 2: Houston (Ellington)- Corpus Cristi- Houston (Ellington);
Dia 3: Houston (Ellington)- Laughlin.
Foi porreiro, o instrutor também foi impecável e aprendi imenso!!! (mas ainda tenho muito mais para aprender!!!)
E foi assim...

After this obstacle (ufff!!!) and a lot of mandatory flights and simulators to go of cross-country (xc), there I went!
Tuesday, 19, it was the first attempt. Packed our stuff, took off, but it wasn't a good day to go... we had an emergency (Rapid D). Came back to Laughlin, were seen by the doctor and authorized to a new attempt. Initially, we planned to go to Las Vegas... we were not authorized; then planned to go to the closest states of Texas (3 days - 4 States)... we had the emergency and we were told to stay in Texas!!! (fortunately took off on Wednesday, otherwise they still reduced for out-and-back:).
Good, XC... it was cool, we did:
Day 1: Laughlin - Dallas / Forth Worth (Alliance) - Houston (Ellington);
Day 2: Houston (Ellington) - Corpus Cristi - Houston (Ellington);
Day 3: Houston (Ellington) - Laughlin .
It was very nice, the instructor was also impeccable and I learned a lot!!! (but I still have much more to learn!!!)
And that was it...
