Semana pré-solo (espero eu!!!)

E mais uma (ou menos outra, depende da perspectiva)...

Esta semana, para não variar, simuladores, voos e aulinhas...

O Zé já foi solo e, se tudo correr bem, para a semana vou eu!!!

Durante este fds algum descanso e mais estudo do que de costume, uma vez que a semana passada não deu tempo para nada!!!

This week: simulators, flights and classes...

Zé was already solo and, if everything runs well, for the week I'll go!!!

During this weekend I had some rest and more study than habit, once last week didn't give time for anything!!!

Mais uma semaninha!!!

Esta foi a minha primeira semana completa na esquadra!
Ao princípio pensei que fosse custar muito (12h na esquadra), que fosse muito comprida... e foi... mas nem custou assim tanto!!!
Voos, simuladores, aulas e testes... esta semana houve de tudo!
Isto realmente é mesmo como diziam... é como "tentar beber água de uma mangueira dos bombeiros!"
Temos sempre mais para saber... nunca estamos suficientemente bem preparados seja lá para o que for mas no final as coisas lá se vão fazendo...
E pronto... mais um fds (ufa, já era tempo), aproveitar para descontrair e... ESTUDAR!!!

This was my first week completes in the squad!
In the beginning I thought that will cost a lot (12:00 in the squad), that it went very long... and it was... but I managed to do it!!!
Flights, simulators, classes and tests... this week there was of everything!
This is really as they said... it is like "trying to drink water of a of a firehose"! We always have more to know... we are never sufficiently prepared but in the end we are able to do it... And here it is... one more weekend (it was about time), to take a change to relax and... to STUDY!!!

Dollar Ride Gift...

Aqui está o respectivo presente da Dollar Ride...

Esta tradição vem, segundo me disseram, do tempo da Guerra...

Os baptismos de voo custavam $5 mas como precisavam de pilotos passou para $1 para ver se angariavam mais!

Desde então, o primeiro voo é de "borla", isto é, não tem nota (pura diversão) e o aluno tem que dar um Dollar ao instrutor!!!

Obviamente que não queremos que o IP (Instructor Pilot) gaste o $ por isso, a maltinha esforça-se para fazer qualquer coisa engraçada... aqui está o meu!!!

Here it is the respective present of Dollar Ride...

This tradition comes, as far as I heard, since the War...

The first flight cost $5 but, since they needed pilots passed for $1 to see if they recruited more! Ever since, the first flight is for "free", that is, doesn't have note (pure amusement) and the student has to give a Dollar to the instructor!!!

Obviously that we don't want that IP (Instructor Pilot) to spends it, that's why, the guys makes an effort to do something nice... here it is mine!!!

Mais um fim-de-semana... mas este foi de 4 dias!!!

(Que bem que soube...)

Fiquei por aqui, aproveitei para estudar um bocadinho (não muito), fizémos umas churrascadas e uns petiscos Tugas (Tenente, o bacalhau à braz ... pintarola; Bruna... os crepes... bem bons!!!), piscina, lago, Arriba (uma das "muitas" discotecas que cá temos) e uns passeios de bicicleta...

Foi bom mas, como todos os fim-de-semanas... CURTO!!!!

I staied here, study a little bit (not a lot), did some barbecues and some tidbits from Portugal (Lieutenant, the codfish... wonderfull; Bruna... the pancakes... very good!!!), swimming pool, lake, Arriba (one of the "many" discos that we have here) and some bicycle walks... It was good but, as all of the weekends... SHORT!!!!

Dollar Ride...

Muiiitttttooooo trabalhinho mas... foi recompensado!!!

Esta sexta-feira (dia 30) fui experimentar a poderosa máquina... é impressionante!

O instrutor deixou-me tentar a descolagem (fiquei pela tentativa), depois fomos fazer uns circuitos e umas aterragens (também me fiquei pela tentativa) e fomos até à área para me demonstrar umas manobras. Manobras demonstradas... venha lá a diversão... "Cloud Chasing"!!!

Ele (o sr. instrutor!!!) foi mesmo um porreiraço... ele brincou (leia-se: demonstrou manobras de alta performance) e deixou o maçarro andar a brincar à volta das nuvens... é impressionante... o avião, a 10000' sobe na vertical sem problemas!!!

Mas não foi tudo... quando nos vinhamos embora, o tempo "fechou" e começou a chover mesmo em cima da pista, ou melhor... só em cima da pista!!!!

Tivemos que alternar e esperar que o tempo nos deixasse voltar para casa...

A minha Dollar Ride não foi uma... foi duas (eh! eh! eh!) e o factor motivação... tá em grande!!!

The instructor let to try me the take-off (just tried), later we went to do some circuits and some landings (just tried also) and we went to the area to demonstrate some maneuvers. After being demonstrated ... it comes the amusement part... "Cloud Chasing"!!!

Him (mr. instructor!!!) it was really a cool guy... he played (in other words: it demonstrated maneuvers of high performance) and he left the rookie (me) play around the clouds... it is impressive... the airplane, at 10000' it arises in the vertical without problems!!!

But it was not everything... when we return to the field, it was rainnig on the runway... only on top of the runway!!!!

We had to alternate and wait that the time allow us to return home...

My Dollar Ride was not one... it was two (eh! eh! eh!) and let me motivated (that's one of the purposes).
