Contactos...

And it was like this... it was a very nice weekend! (4 images are worth more than 4000 words) Friday a barbecue in honor to Isidro due his birthday; a tuna paste, a barbecue with some very good steaks accompanied by a stewed cabadge, salad and french fries, strawberries, a lemon cake and... SANGRIA.

On Saturday, after the brunch in Chaparral (the Amigo Inn here of the base) we left to Lake Amistad to rent some boats and after lot of fun we returned to the base. At night we went to the movie and to know a club (of the two) here of Del Rio.

Sunday was already calmer because, in spite of still not to have to study, the rest of the guys has... solidarity!!! And it was like this... it was a very nice weekend!

Partida/ Chegada...

E no domingo... lá fomos!
Vamos ver...

And on Sunday... there we went! Brunch in Denny's and there we put to walk. After two and a half hours driving, finally, we arrived at Laughlin AFB. First impression: nice!!! The base is smaller than the one of Lackland, it doesn't have so many foreigners (the foreigners are we and some Italians that also walk for here) and, as in all of the American bases, ithas almost everything, I support, supermarket, gym and... places to eat hamburguers. During this first week I will take care of paper work and receive material, briefings for the second week and, Friday, I should have the first class! We'll see...

Before the good-bye there was still time for: to play one more raqueteball challenges, to maintain the physicall preparation/ volume, to go to the traditional pizza dinner and bowling (between one and other a play of Time Crisis, where the addict is the Ribeiro!!!), go examine one more shop with bikes (I only went there because Isidro also had to go!!!) and to go S. Marcos even to spend some more dollars! No... we didn't bring the shirts!

Graduation...

Resumo do DLI...

I will try not to be boring!!!

In the 1st week (teacher: Mr. Berry) it is for the teachers verify our capacities; 2nd / 3rd (teacher: Mr. Embree) it is a module where we began to have contact with aeronautical terms and... a lot of work; 4th week (Mr. Minjarez) as the own name it indicates is debates, discussions and things related; 5th / 6th (Mr. Zellet) we worked with more technical terms, mainly at the level of comunications, and we have our first chair flight; 7th / 8th (Mr. Embree) we used everything that we already learned in the previous modules and with more new things that we apply when doing one more chair flight and a mission in the simulator; 9th (Ms. Romero) it is a module of filling smoked sausages (it's an expression we use in Portugal to say that it's a little bitte boring) where the personnel is already unfounded, with the head in FOT (follow on trainning) and it is for the teachers notice our evolution. It doesn't have to be for this order but, in a summarized way, it is like this that happen here two months.
