Muuuiiiitttttoooo trabalhinho.....

Esta semana até correu bem... o saldo foi positivo mas... deu muito trabalho!!!

Tive 2 testes (segunda e quinta) e 3 simuladores (segunda, quinta e sexta)... correram bem!!!

Existem três tipos de simuladores, um só com botões, outro onde temos uma tela grande à nossa frente e, o mais giro de todos, outro com uma tela à nossa volta! O de sexta foi este... espectáculo!!!

Quanto ao fim-de-semana, descontrair foi a palavra de ordem.

O Sábado começou com "A Aula" de spinning bike do tenente e terminou com o aniversário do Andrade (às 18:00 aqui já eram 0:00 em Portugal, portanto as celebrações começaram cedo:).

O Domingo foi aproveitado para descansar mais um bocadinho e começar a preparar a semana que está a chegar. Esta semana já vamos para a esquadra e com um bocadinho de sorte vamos fazer o primeiro voo... vamos ver!

This week ended well... the balance was positive but... it gave a lot of work!!!

I had 2 tests (Monday and Thursday) and 3 simulators (Monday, Thursday and Friday)... they were okl!!!

They have here three types of simulators; one to practice buttons stuff, other where we have a big screen in front of us and other with a screen to our turn! The one of Friday was this... awsome!!!

As for the weekend, relax was the main idea.

Saturday began with spinning bike class of lieutenant's Silva and it finished with Andrade's birthday.

On Sunday I took the chance to rest a little bit and to begin to prepare the week that is to arrive. This week we are already going to the squad and, with a little bit of luck, we will make the first flight... let's see!

Pois é... demorou algum tempo... gastei alguns trocos... mas finalmente o meu cantinho está todo catita!!!

Tá tudo direitinho e arrumadinho para podermos voar muito!!! O estudo assim até rende mais!

It took some time... I spent some changes... but finally my place is very cosy!!!

Fui buscá-la ao aeroporto, ficámos num hotelzito em San Antonio, demos umas voltas por "downtown" e pusémo-nos a caminho de Del Rio no Domingo.

Durante a semana, a Isabel ficou trancada no quarto a passar a ferro, cozinhar e a coser as meias enquanto eu ia ao ginásio, piscina e até mesmo às aulas (de vez em quando!!!).

Brincadeirinha, né!!!

Fui uma semaninha boa, com uns pastelitos de nata, uma sardinhada e outras iguarias do nosso cantinho. Pena que... acabou depressa!

Ainda ontem chegou... já se foi embora! Paciência!!!

VOLTA DEPRESSA!!!!!

She arrived finally!!!!

"Sweet"...

I went to pick her to the airport, slept in a nice hotel in downtown of San Antonio and went for a walk. On Sunday... back to Del Rio!

During the week, Isabel was locked at the room to iron, cook and to do some cleanings while I went to the gym, swimming pool and even to the classes (once in a while!!!).

Just kidding!!!

It was a good week, with some cakes from home and a "sardinhada" (grilled sardines)... to bad it ended fast! She just arrived yesterday... and she's already left!

Too bad, she'll be back in August!!! :)

Concentração em Austin...

No que toca a concentrações estes zézinhos ainda têm muito que aprender...
Comecei por alugar uma Harley (em Roma sê romano) e lá fomos!
Quando chegámos o excelentíssimo David (Coito para os não conhecidos, sr. Alferes Piloto Aviador para os outros) fez questão de nos arranjar um alojamento de luxo... um hotelzito (OMNI) tão reles que até tinha duas piscinas no telhado, uma de água quente e outra de água fria!

A concentração em si... uma desgraça! São uns desorganizados de primeira, a entrada era cara como tudo e os meninos divertiam-se a andar numa avenida para cima e para baixo!

Valha-nos a noite de Austin para salvar a viagem... e o hotel... e a mota!!!
O passeio para lá não foi mau mas o regresso foi bem mais giro porque optámos por vir por umas estradecas secundárias!

In what matters Rally Bikers these guys have still a lot to learn... I began by renting a Harley (in Rome be Roman) and there we went! When we arrived we rented a room in OMNI. The hotel was no nice that had two swimming pools in the roof, one of hot water and another of cold water! The concentration in itself... a misfortune! They were disorganized , the entrance was expensive and the bikers had fun riding in an avenue upward and down! Be worth us the night of Austin to save the trip... and the hotel... and the bike!!! The walk for there was not bad but the return was much more fun because we decided to came for some secondary roads!

Big Bend National Park...

Entre o terminar da fisiologia e o começar das aulas fomos abençoados com um fim-de-semana prolongado... que aproveitei muito bem (como não podia deixar de ser!).

Saimos daqui (da base) na madrugada de sexta-feira (feriado)...

Quarenta e cinco veados depois (e foram mesmo 45, lebres é que não deu para contar) lá chegámos ao Big Bend (basicamente é um deserto enooooorrrrrmmmeeeee)... nascer do sol espectacular!

Seguimos para o local onde estavam uns simpáticos cavalitos à nossa espera (eram mesmo animais de quatro patas...não eram de outro ramo). Umas quantas horas depois, já meio desidratados lá chegámos ao acampamento onde comemos uma refeição preparada pela nossa guia. Ficámos no acampamento o resto da tarde a "xonar" e a tomar umas banhocas!

Dormimos debaixo das estrelas, tal e qual os cowboys!!! (a única diferença eram os sacos de cama)

No dia dois partimos para outra aventura completamente diferente... canoagem num tumultuoso rio... onde de vez em quanto tinhamos que sair da canoa porque ficava encalhada no fundo!!!

Mas incidentes à parte (empurrar a canoa) foi muito divertido!!!

E... regressámos! À nossa espera estava uma tempestade que se via ao longe e, muito sinceramente... metia respeito!

Between the end of the physiology and the beginning of the classes we were blessed with a long weekend... that I took advantage very well... visit the Big Bend National Park! We left of the base on Friday at dawn, and in the same day, after we arrive, we made a four hours horse ridding. We proceeded for the place where we spent the night and had a nice meal. Staied there for the night, resting and swimming a litle bit. On the following day, we left for another adventure completely different... canoeing in a "tumultuous" river... where we also had a lot of fun!!! On our way back we had a nice thunderstorm waiting for us!

Fisiologia de voo...

Já há algum tempo que não actualizava aqui este nosso cantinho de troca de correspondência...

O tempo não tem, ou melhor a falta dele, não tem permitido... o pouco tempo que poderia ter livre tenho-o ocupado como vão ver (ou como já viram se comçaram pelos posts mais recentes).

Ora "atão" foi assim... duas semanas de fisiologia... treino fisiológico, o primeiro contacto com o cockpit do avião e para-sailing. Teste de fisiologia: 100%; teste de sobrevivência: 100%.

There is already some time that I didn't put any post... The time doesn't have, or better the lack of time, it has not been allowing... the little time I had free managed to occupied as you will see (or as you already saw if had start for the most recent posts). So... it was like this... two weeks of physiology... physiologic trainning, the first contact with the cockpit of the airplane and para-sailing. Physiology test: 100%; survival test: 100%.
